Celestron Royal Observatory Greenwich 7x50 Binoculars

A Premium Viewing Experience – Day or Night

Created in partnership with the historic Royal Observatory in Greenwich, Celestron’s 7x50 Royal Observatory Binoculars offer a blend of tradition, optical performance, and everyday practicality. Whether you're tracking celestial wonders in the night sky, spotting wildlife on a walk, or watching the action unfold at a live sporting event, these binoculars bring every moment vividly to life.

Superior Optics for Brighter Views

At the heart of these binoculars is a classic Porro prism design, known for delivering bright, immersive views with excellent depth perception. The optical system uses BK7 prisms—a reliable glass that enhances light transmission and image clarity for more detailed observations, even in lower light.

To further boost performance, the optical elements are multi-coated for increased contrast and brightness. These coatings reduce internal reflections and improve clarity, making these binoculars especially effective during dusk, dawn, and under star-filled skies.

Designed for Comfort and Durability

Built with both adventure and comfort in mind, these binoculars feature a durable, rubber-armoured body that offers protection against bumps and rough handling. The rubber exterior not only enhances shock resistance but also provides a non-slip grip for confident handling, even in damp or chilly weather.

  • Rubber eyecups ensure comfortable viewing for all users

  • Keep the eyecups extended for use without glasses, or fold them down to accommodate eyeglass wearers

  • Water-resistant construction makes them suitable for a variety of outdoor conditions

Ideal for Stargazing and General Use

With 7x magnification and large 50mm objective lenses, this binocular is a versatile all-rounder. The magnification is ideal for handheld astronomical viewing, offering a wide field of view for easier tracking of celestial objects like the Moon, star clusters, or even passing satellites. It’s equally suited for long-distance daytime use—spotting birds, landmarks, or the action from the back of a stadium.

Flexible Viewing Options

For extended viewing sessions—especially during stargazing—you can mount these binoculars on a tripod using a standard adapter (sold separately). This adds stability and lets you enjoy long looks at the night sky or record your observations with a smartphone or camera via digiscoping.

Included Accessories

The Celestron Royal Observatory Binoculars come with:

  • An adjustable neck strap for comfort on the go

  • A protective padded case for safe storage and travel

A Legacy of Exploration

These binoculars proudly bear the name of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich—a landmark in scientific history and the birthplace of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Founded in 1675, the observatory has shaped astronomy and navigation for over three centuries. Today, it inspires the public to explore the universe, just as these binoculars invite you to explore the world around and above you.

Whether you're stargazing, sightseeing, or watching nature unfold, the Celestron Royal Observatory 7x50 Binoculars are your ideal companion—rich in heritage, built for performance.

Returns Policy

If something isn’t right, we’ll always try to help.

  • Unused items in “as new” condition can usually be returned within the statutory cooling-off period
  • Please contact us before sending anything back so we can advise on the safest way
  • For unwanted items, return shipping is your responsibility, and original shipping may be deducted where applicable
  • If a product is faulty or damaged, we’ll arrange repair, replacement or refund in line with your consumer rights — and we’ll cover reasonable return costs

Telescope shipping is expensive, and specialist — avoidable returns really do impact our business, so we always encourage customers to ask questions before buying. We’re here to help you get it right first time.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Does it come with a warranty?

All our products are UK stock so come with manufacturers warranty

What happens if I don't like it?

We always want you to be happy with your purchase — so if you’re unsure, please ask us first. We’re always happy to give honest advice before you buy.

If the product arrives and you simply decide it isn’t for you, you can usually return it within the cooling-off period — as long as it’s unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original packaging and accessories.

Because telescopes and optical equipment are large, delicate and expensive to ship, you’ll need to cover the cost of sending it back, and if we originally subsidised delivery, we may deduct our outbound shipping costs from your refund.

We’re a small specialist business, and unnecessary returns genuinely hurt us — so if you’re unsure at all, please talk to us first. We’d rather help you choose the right item than process a return.

How fast is shipping?

We aim to ship in-stock items as quickly as possible.

  • Most in-stock orders dispatch within 1–2 working days
  • Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days after dispatch (UK mainland)
  • Heavier / oversized items and special orders may take a little longer

You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

Astronomy equipment often requires specialist packing and trusted couriers — we do this to keep your gear safe, not to slow things down. If you need something urgently, just ask and we’ll do our best.
