References to “The Welsh Astronomy Centre”, “we”, “us” or “our” in these Terms mean Carmarthen Camera Centre Ltd, trading as The Welsh Astronomy Centre.

You agree that you will:

use the site only for lawful purposes
not interfere with or damage the site, servers or networks
not copy, scrape, reproduce or reuse any content without permission

All content on this site is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

3. Product information

We try hard to ensure product descriptions, photos and specifications are accurate. However:

manufacturers may change specifications without notice
colours and finishes may vary between screens
small variations in packaging or appearance may occur

If something is unclear, please contact us before purchasing.

4. Prices & payment

Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT (where applicable).

We may change prices at any time.
The price confirmed at checkout when you place your order is the price you will pay.

We accept the payment methods shown on the website.
An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

5. Orders & acceptance

When you place an order, you’ll receive an acknowledgement email. This does not mean the order has been accepted.

A contract is formed only when we dispatch your order.

We may cancel an order (and issue a refund) if:

the product is unavailable
there is an error in pricing or description
we suspect fraud or unauthorised use of payment
we cannot deliver to your address

We’ll let you know if this happens.

6. Delivery

Delivery estimates are provided as guidance only.

We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, adverse weather, customs, strikes, or events outside our control — although we’ll always try to help.

Please check your order carefully on arrival and notify us promptly of any visible damage or missing items.

Once an order is delivered, responsibility for the goods passes to you.

7. Returns, refunds & cancellations

Our separate Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms.

In summary:

Most online purchases may be cancelled during the statutory cooling-off period
Items must be unused and returned in resaleable condition
Because telescopes and optics are bulky and costly to ship, customers are normally responsible for return shipping on change-of-mind returns, and original outbound shipping may be deducted from refunds where applicable
Faulty items will be repaired, replaced or refunded in line with consumer law and manufacturer warranties

Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Warranties

Most products include a manufacturer warranty.

Warranties don’t cover:

accidental damage
misuse, incorrect setup or poor maintenance
unauthorised repairs or modifications
normal wear and tear

We’ll help with warranty claims, but final decisions rest with the manufacturer.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits your legal rights, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

indirect or consequential losses
loss of business, data or profit
damage caused by incorrect assembly or use of equipment

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidance.

10. Accounts & security

If you create an account:

keep your login details confidential
you’re responsible for all activity under your account
tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

11. Privacy & cookies

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

By using our website, you consent to the ways we collect and use data as described there.

12. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example: courier failures, natural disasters, supplier issues).

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and keep you informed.

The version displayed on the website at the time of your order will apply to that purchase.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
