How It Works – Dock. Launch. Explore.

1. Dock your smartphone in the StarSense bracket.

2. Launch the app and align your phone to the telescope’s optics (takes just 2 minutes).

3. Choose an object from the list of visible targets.

4. Follow the on-screen arrows to move the telescope.

5. Look through the eyepiece once the bullseye turns green—your object is centred and ready to view.

The StarSense Explorer app uses patented technology and a Lost-in-Space Algorithm (LISA) to match star patterns above you, giving it far greater accuracy than apps relying solely on your phone’s internal sensors.
