This essential accessory replaces the stock retaining ring, providing direct, uniform heat to the Schmidt corrector plate for superior dew control.

Direct Heating for Maximum Efficiency

Unlike traditional heat bands that warm the lens cell, the Dew Heater Ring applies heat directly to the corrector glass, delivering faster and more efficient dew prevention with lower power draw. The durable aluminium ring also serves as the mechanical support for the corrector.

Integrated Thermistor and Cable Management

The ring features a built-in thermistor for real-time temperature monitoring when used with Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers (sold separately). Smart control allows the system to regulate output based on ambient and corrector temperatures, reducing power consumption and extending battery life.

Includes a cable management clip and jack storage holders to keep cables organised and protected during use and storage.

If the product arrives and you simply decide it isn’t for you, you can usually return it within the cooling-off period — as long as it’s unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original packaging and accessories.

Because telescopes and optical equipment are large, delicate and expensive to ship, you’ll need to cover the cost of sending it back, and if we originally subsidised delivery, we may deduct our outbound shipping costs from your refund.
