Direct, Efficient Heating

Unlike traditional dew bands that waste energy by heating the lens cell, the Dew Heater Ring applies heat directly to the Schmidt corrector, ensuring efficient performance and minimal power consumption. Constructed from durable, lightweight aluminium, the ring supports the corrector plate and the internal circuitry.

Simply connect the ring to a 12V DC power source for consistent heat, even in heavy dew conditions. Storage clips and a cable management clip keep connections secure and organised.

Smart Control Ready

The ring includes a built-in thermistor, enabling automatic temperature regulation when paired with Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers (sold separately). The controller adjusts output based on corrector temperature, ambient temperature, and humidity—conserving battery life while preventing dew.
