Celestron SCT to 2” Adapter – Unlock 2” Accessory Compatibility for Your Cassegrain Telescope

Expand the versatility of your telescope with the Celestron SCT to 2” Adapter, a high-quality, precision-engineered accessory that lets you use a wide range of 2” diagonals, eyepieces, and astroimaging gear with your Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. If you want to take full advantage of your telescope’s light-gathering capabilities or attach a camera for deep-sky astrophotography, this adapter is an essential upgrade.

Seamless Connection to 2” Visual Accessories

Standard Cassegrain telescopes often come with a visual back that only accommodates 1.25” accessories. This SCT to 2” adapter opens the door to larger-format 2” accessories, including:

  • 2” star diagonals for wider fields of view

  • 2” eyepieces for immersive visual observing

  • T-adapters and camera gear for astrophotography setups

With this adapter, you can maximise light throughput and enjoy brighter, wider views—especially useful for observing faint deep-sky objects or capturing long-exposure images with your camera.

Ultra-Secure Threaded Fit with Non-Marring Compression Ring

The adapter threads directly onto the rear cell of your Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope, ensuring a solid and wobble-free connection. On the opposite end, it features a brass compression ring—a secure and user-friendly mechanism that grips your 2” accessories without scratching or denting the barrel.

Just tighten the convenient set screw to gently compress the ring around your accessory, keeping it firmly in place with excellent optical alignment.

Durable Construction with Light-Suppressing Interior

Built to withstand years of use in the field, the adapter is crafted from precision-machined aluminium and finished with a black anodised coating for long-lasting corrosion resistance. Internally, the adapter is glare-threaded and painted flat black to suppress unwanted light reflections—enhancing contrast and image clarity at the eyepiece or camera sensor.

Key Features:

  • Allows use of standard 2” diagonals, eyepieces, and camera accessories with SCT and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes

  • Threads securely onto SCT/Mak telescope rear cells

  • Brass compression ring prevents damage to accessory barrels

  • Set screw ensures tight and stable connection

  • Constructed from CNC-machined anodised aluminium for strength and durability

  • Flat-black, glare-reducing interior for improved image contrast

  • Ideal for both visual astronomy and astrophotography

A Simple Upgrade That Unlocks More of Your Telescope’s Potential

Whether you're ready to explore wider views, larger eyepieces, or camera connectivity, the Celestron SCT to 2” Adapter makes it possible—without needing a specialised threaded diagonal or complicated hardware. It’s the perfect way to future-proof your telescope and enhance both your observing and imaging experiences.

Order now to take your setup to the next level with full 2” accessory compatibility.

Order Fulfilment

Some items, as clearly stated on the product page, may be fulfilled directly by our partners or manufacturers. In these cases, your order will be shipped to you straight from the brand’s warehouse. This helps us provide a wider range of specialist equipment and may result in slightly different delivery times.

Returns Policy

If something isn’t right, we’ll always try to help.

  • Unused items in “as new” condition can usually be returned within the statutory cooling-off period
  • Please contact us before sending anything back so we can advise on the safest way
  • For unwanted items, return shipping is your responsibility, and original shipping may be deducted where applicable
  • If a product is faulty or damaged, we’ll arrange repair, replacement or refund in line with your consumer rights — and we’ll cover reasonable return costs

Telescope shipping is expensive, and specialist — avoidable returns really do impact our business, so we always encourage customers to ask questions before buying. We’re here to help you get it right first time.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Does it come with a warranty?

All our products are UK stock so come with manufacturers warranty

What happens if I don't like it?

We always want you to be happy with your purchase — so if you’re unsure, please ask us first. We’re always happy to give honest advice before you buy.

If the product arrives and you simply decide it isn’t for you, you can usually return it within the cooling-off period — as long as it’s unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original packaging and accessories.

Because telescopes and optical equipment are large, delicate and expensive to ship, you’ll need to cover the cost of sending it back, and if we originally subsidised delivery, we may deduct our outbound shipping costs from your refund.

We’re a small specialist business, and unnecessary returns genuinely hurt us — so if you’re unsure at all, please talk to us first. We’d rather help you choose the right item than process a return.

How fast is shipping?

We aim to ship in-stock items as quickly as possible.

  • Most in-stock orders dispatch within 1–2 working days
  • Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days after dispatch (UK mainland)
  • Heavier / oversized items and special orders may take a little longer

You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

Astronomy equipment often requires specialist packing and trusted couriers — we do this to keep your gear safe, not to slow things down. If you need something urgently, just ask and we’ll do our best.
