Effortless Automatic Alignment for Your Telescope

Become an astronomer in minutes—no prior experience needed. With StarSense AutoAlign, setting up your telescope is as simple as pressing a button. Just install the system, hit "Align" on the hand control, and StarSense begins analysing the night sky. In about three minutes, your telescope is aligned and ready to explore.

Once aligned, press "Sky Tour" to let StarSense guide you to the best stars, planets, galaxies, and nebulae visible at that moment.

How It Works

StarSense takes the guesswork out of alignment. A compact digital camera (included) replaces your finderscope and captures multiple images of the night sky. It automatically identifies star patterns and matches them to its internal database of over 40,000 celestial objects via the included StarSense hand control.

Once it triangulates its position, it calculates the exact orientation of the telescope—no star centring or user alignment required. Just input the time, date, and location, and let StarSense do the rest.

Advanced Mount Modelling for Expert Users

StarSense isn’t just for beginners. Advanced users can take advantage of built-in mount modelling, typically found in expensive, high-end software. Add up to 10 calibration stars for enhanced pointing accuracy across the entire sky—perfect for precise astroimaging.

What happens if I don't like it?

We always want you to be happy with your purchase — so if you’re unsure, please ask us first. We’re always happy to give honest advice before you buy.

If the product arrives and you simply decide it isn’t for you, you can usually return it within the cooling-off period — as long as it’s unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original packaging and accessories.

Because telescopes and optical equipment are large, delicate and expensive to ship, you’ll need to cover the cost of sending it back, and if we originally subsidised delivery, we may deduct our outbound shipping costs from your refund.

We’re a small specialist business, and unnecessary returns genuinely hurt us — so if you’re unsure at all, please talk to us first. We’d rather help you choose the right item than process a return.

How fast is shipping?

We aim to ship in-stock items as quickly as possible.

  • Most in-stock orders dispatch within 1–2 working days
  • Delivery usually takes 1–3 working days after dispatch (UK mainland)
  • Heavier / oversized items and special orders may take a little longer
