Find Objects More Easily

Locating celestial objects becomes significantly easier with the 5x24 finderscope included in the kit. With 5x magnification and a 24 mm objective lens, it helps centre your target in the telescope’s field of view. The included bracket allows you to mount the finderscope directly to the FirstScope without tools. After a simple alignment, you can aim using the finderscope rather than trying to manually point the telescope, which is especially useful when viewing smaller or fainter objects.

Choose Between Two Magnifications

Expand your viewing options with the addition of two 1.25” eyepieces:

• The 12.5 mm eyepiece offers a moderate magnification of 24x, ideal for general views of the Moon, star clusters, and bright planets.

• The 6 mm eyepiece provides higher magnification at 50x, allowing you to zoom in for more detailed views of lunar craters or Saturn’s rings.

Both eyepieces are fully compatible with any telescope using a 1.25” focuser, offering versatility beyond the FirstScope.

Comfortable Lunar Viewing with the Moon Filter

The Moon Filter functions like a pair of sunglasses for your telescope. It reduces the Moon’s glare, making it easier to observe fine surface details without straining your eyes. This filter threads onto any standard 1.25” eyepiece, giving you flexibility to pair it with different magnifications. Please note: this filter is not suitable for solar observation.

Learn the Night Sky with Starry Night Software

Included in the kit is Starry Night Basic Edition, one of the most popular astronomy software platforms for amateur observers. This downloadable program helps you plan your observing sessions, learn the constellations, track planets, identify stars, and print star charts.
