24.2MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor

The 24.2MP full-frame sensor offers an excellent balance between resolution, file size and low-light performance. It captures fine star fields, subtle colour and a broad dynamic range, making it ideal for photographing the Milky Way, constellations and astronomical landscapes.

The large sensor also provides expansive fields of view when paired with a suitable wide-angle lens.

Excellent Low-Light Performance

With a standard still-image sensitivity range of ISO 100–102,400, expandable to ISO 204,800, the EOS R6 Mark II is designed to capture detail in extremely low-light conditions.

This allows astrophotographers to use higher sensitivities and shorter exposures when necessary, helping to reveal faint stars while reducing visible movement across the sky.

Canon RF Mount
