Designed specifically for 14” Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD, and 36cm RASA OTAs (manufactured after 2006), this rigid shield helps prevent dew formation while enhancing image contrast by blocking unwanted stray light.

Dew Control + Light Suppression

By reducing radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector, the dew shield helps keep the optical surface above the dew point longer—minimising moisture build-up during extended sessions. The velvet-lined interior absorbs light and moisture, improving image contrast for both visual and astrophotographic use.

Durable, Purpose-Built Construction

Crafted from high-grade aluminium, this rigid dew shield won’t flex or deform. The integrated adjustable clips ensure a secure, custom fit on your telescope tube. A lightweight aluminium cover cap protects your optics from dust when not in use and enables quick acquisition of dark frames during imaging sessions.

Smart Design for Imagers

If you’re using your telescope with Fastar/Hyperstar or the RASA 36cm, the integrated cable management slot lets you run power or data cables out the front without compromising your light seal. Additional cut-outs accommodate dovetail rails on both sides of the OTA for an optimised fit.
