The Pulsar Merger LRF XP35 brings high-resolution thermal imaging, precision distance measurement and comfortable binocular viewing together in a remarkably compact design. It is the smallest model in the Pulsar Merger range and offers the widest field of view of any Merger thermal binoculars.

Featuring a European-made Lynred 640×480 thermal sensor, a generous 17.8° field of view and an integrated 1000m laser rangefinder, the Merger LRF XP35 is perfectly equipped for nocturnal wildlife observation, outdoor exploration, land management, security and low-light surveillance.

With a thermal detection range of up to 1350 metres, the XP35 enables users to locate animals, people and other heat-emitting subjects in complete darkness and challenging weather conditions.

High-Resolution 640×480 Thermal Imaging

At the centre of the Merger LRF XP35 is a European-manufactured Lynred 640×480, 17µm thermal sensor. Its high resolution captures fine thermal details and subtle temperature differences, helping users distinguish between subjects and their surroundings more confidently.

A thermal sensitivity of <25mK NETD, supported by an sNETD rating of <18mK, delivers a detailed image in difficult conditions. This includes situations with low thermal contrast, such as mist, rain, high humidity or mornings when the temperature difference between an animal and its surroundings may be relatively small.

The 50Hz refresh rate keeps movement smooth and natural, making it easier to follow animals and other moving subjects.

Wide 17.8° Field of View

The Merger LRF XP35 provides the widest field of view in the Pulsar Merger range. Its impressive 17.8° viewing angle covers a large area, allowing users to scan fields, woodland edges and open terrain efficiently.

A low 2x starting magnification makes it easier to locate subjects and maintain awareness of the surrounding area. When a closer inspection is required, the magnification can be increased digitally up to 16x.

This wide-field performance makes the XP35 especially well suited to observing wildlife at close and medium distances or searching large areas for heat signatures.

Integrated 1000m Laser Rangefinder

The built-in laser rangefinder measures distances of up to 1000 metres with an accuracy of ±1 metre. It allows the distance to a detected animal, landmark or other object to be established quickly without carrying a separate rangefinding device.

Integrating the rangefinder directly into the binocular body provides a streamlined observation experience while helping users build a more accurate understanding of the surrounding terrain.

Three Sensitivity Amplification Levels

Three selectable sensitivity amplification settings allow the thermal image to be optimised for different environments and weather conditions. These settings work alongside Pulsar’s image filtration algorithms and adjustable brightness and contrast controls.

Users can fine-tune the image to reveal additional background detail, improve subject definition or increase visibility when thermal contrast is limited.

Comfortable Binocular Viewing

The Pulsar Merger LRF XP35 has been designed around the familiar shape and handling of traditional binoculars. Viewing with both eyes provides a natural, immersive image and can reduce eye fatigue during extended observation sessions.

Its ergonomic magnesium-alloy housing sits comfortably in the hands, while the controls are positioned for easy operation with minimal finger movement. The adjustable 63–74mm interpupillary distance allows the eyepieces to be matched to the individual user.

Dual 1024×768 AMOLED Displays

Two high-resolution 1024×768 AMOLED displays deliver a sharp thermal image with excellent contrast and detail. AMOLED display technology provides responsive performance, efficient power consumption and dependable operation in low temperatures.

The dual-display arrangement helps create a comfortable binocular-style view, making the XP35 suitable for prolonged nighttime use.

Eight Thermal Colour Palettes

The Merger LRF XP35 includes eight colour palettes, enabling the display to be adapted to the environment, subject and viewing preference.

  • White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot help with rapid heat-source detection

  • Rainbow and Ultramarine can assist with recognition and identification

  • Sepia, Red Monochrome and Violet provide alternative options for extended nighttime observation

Switching between palettes can reveal different thermal details while helping to reduce eye fatigue in complete darkness.

Built-In Photo, Video and Audio Recording

Important observations can be recorded directly through the binoculars. The integrated recorder captures 1024×768 thermal video with audio, as well as still photographs.

A built-in 16GB memory provides space for hours of video footage and thousands of images. Files are stored in convenient MP4 and JPG formats, making them easy to review, archive or share.

This is particularly useful for documenting wildlife activity, recording surveys or saving unusual nighttime observations.

Stream Vision 2 App Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi allows the Merger LRF XP35 to connect to compatible Android and iOS smartphones or tablets using the Stream Vision 2 app.

The XP35 combines a built-in 4.0Ah rechargeable battery with a removable APS 3 3.2Ah battery. Together, they provide up to nine hours of continuous operation at 22°C, depending on the selected settings and environmental conditions.

The removable battery has a tactile surface that makes it easier to identify and change by touch, even in complete darkness. The binoculars also support compatible external power supplies through USB Type-C Power Delivery.

Automatic Proximity Sensor

A built-in proximity sensor automatically switches off the displays when the binoculars are lowered. This reduces unnecessary power consumption and prevents visible light from escaping through the eyepieces.

When the XP35 is raised back into the viewing position, the displays automatically reactivate. This enables discreet observation without repeatedly using the power controls.

Waterproof Magnesium-Alloy Construction
