The Pulsar Orni XG35 is a rugged thermal imaging monocular designed for demanding wildlife observation, conservation work and extended use in the field. It combines a European-made 640×480, 12µm thermal sensor with digital image stabilisation, an integrated 1500m laser rangefinder and up to 12 hours of battery life.

Detailed 640×480 Thermal Imaging

At the heart of the Pulsar Orni XG35 is a high-resolution 640×480 thermal sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch. Its detailed, high-contrast image helps users locate wildlife and distinguish important features against complex backgrounds.

Advanced image processing improves clarity when temperature differences between the subject and its surroundings are small. This supports dependable observation in darkness, fog, rain and other conditions where conventional optical equipment may be limited.

Fast 35mm f/1.0 Objective Lens

The Orni XG35 features a fast 35mm f/1.0 germanium objective lens designed to collect thermal energy efficiently. This supports a detailed image and reliable performance across changing environmental conditions.

The 35mm focal length provides a useful combination of wide-area scanning and longer-distance observation, making the monocular suitable for woodland, farmland and open landscapes.

Wide Field of View

Digital Image Stabilisation

Integrated 1500m Laser Rangefinder

A built-in laser rangefinder measures distances of up to 1500 metres, removing the need to carry a separate ranging device.

Both single-measurement and continuous scanning modes are available. Continuous measurement is particularly useful when tracking moving animals or assessing changing distances across the landscape.

Dual-Battery System

The Orni XG35 combines an internal rechargeable battery with a removable external battery to provide up to 12 hours of operation, depending on settings and environmental conditions.

The replaceable external battery can be hot-swapped without switching off the monocular, helping observation continue with minimal interruption. Clear on-screen indicators display the remaining charge for both power sources, while USB-C provides convenient charging in the field.

Built for One-Handed Operation

The Orni has been designed for comfortable use in either hand. Its intuitive control layout allows the main functions to be operated one-handed, leaving the other hand free to carry additional equipment or maintain stability.

An adjustable hand strap and belt clip can be fitted to either side of the monocular, allowing the setup to be personalised for left- or right-handed use.

Built-In Photo and Video Recording

The integrated recorder makes it easy to document wildlife sightings, surveys and other thermal observations. Photographs and video footage can be captured directly through the monocular and stored on its generous 64GB internal memory.

The large storage capacity provides ample room for extended recording sessions without requiring a separate memory card.

Nine Thermal Colour Palettes

Nine selectable colour palettes allow the thermal image to be adapted to different environments, subjects and viewing preferences.

Some palettes are ideal for quickly detecting heat sources, while others can help reveal subtle temperature differences or provide a more comfortable image during extended observation.

Three Sensitivity Amplification Levels

Three sensitivity amplification levels work with the Orni’s image-processing system to optimise thermal detail in changing weather and temperature conditions.

These settings can improve subject definition, enhance background detail and help maintain image clarity when there is limited thermal contrast.

Picture-in-Picture Mode

Picture-in-picture mode displays an enlarged section of the image while preserving the full field of view around it. This allows a subject to be examined more closely without losing awareness of its position or surrounding activity.

It is particularly useful when following moving wildlife or working at higher digital magnifications.

Automatic Brightness and Haptic Feedback

Automatic brightness control adjusts the display to provide comfortable viewing as external conditions change. This helps reduce eye fatigue during long sessions or when moving between brighter and darker environments.
