The Sky-Watcher SynScan Wi-Fi Adaptor allows you to control compatible Sky-Watcher Go-To mounts wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet or computer — replacing the need for a traditional handset and giving you intuitive, app-based control of your telescope.

Compact and easy to install, it plugs directly into the mount’s hand-controller port and draws power from the mount itself, so no additional batteries or power leads are required.

Wireless Go-To control — anywhere

The adaptor creates its own private Wi-Fi network, meaning it works anywhere — even at remote dark-sky sites with no internet or mobile signal. Simply connect your device, open the free SynScan or SynScan Pro App (iOS / Android), align the mount, and start exploring.

You can browse targets, select objects, run guided tours and enjoy full Go-To control using a clear, touchscreen interface.

PC & planetarium software compatible

In addition to the SynScan apps, the adaptor also supports control via:

  • ASCOM drivers (slew, Go-To and pulse guiding)

  • Popular mobile planetarium apps such as SkySafari Plus / Pro (platform support may vary)

This flexibility makes it ideal for both casual observing and more advanced astro-imaging setups.

Simple plug-and-play connection

The SynScan Wi-Fi Adaptor includes RJ12–RJ45 and RJ45–RJ45 cables for connecting to most Sky-Watcher Go-To mounts.

Note: the EQ6 Pro should be connected using the original handset cable supplied with the mount.

What happens if I don't like it?

We always want you to be happy with your purchase — so if you’re unsure, please ask us first. We’re always happy to give honest advice before you buy.

If the product arrives and you simply decide it isn’t for you, you can usually return it within the cooling-off period — as long as it’s unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original packaging and accessories.

Because telescopes and optical equipment are large, delicate and expensive to ship, you’ll need to cover the cost of sending it back, and if we originally subsidised delivery, we may deduct our outbound shipping costs from your refund.

We’re a small specialist business, and unnecessary returns genuinely hurt us — so if you’re unsure at all, please talk to us first. We’d rather help you choose the right item than process a return.
